Have you ever been at work and thought to yourself, “I know what would make this better?”

At McBride, we encourage all of our colleagues to share their suggestions – with the promise that we’ll consider each one seriously. And who knows – your idea might end up transforming the whole business!

Just look at our Strzelce site in Poland, where the employee suggestion programme saw 277 ideas submitted in 2025 – around 100 of which have been put into action!

One fantastic suggestion was to reduce the number of angle brackets attached to pallets, which has already allowed us to reduce our cardboard waste by an impressive 89 tons.

Another suggestion introduced the possibility of re-use during our preform process, as well as optimising our PET bottle-filling process and waste-reduction system – small changes that have saved 10 tons of plastic waste.

And the impact isn’t only environmental. Together, these ideas have saved the Strzelce site more than £15,000.

“These are brilliant examples of something good for the planet being good for business as well,” says Tomasz Jarmuszewski, CI manager at McBride. “We’re excited to hear our colleagues’ suggestions in 2026.”
