What does it take to support an international workforce of more than 3,500 colleagues, spread out across 14 countries?

Just ask Jane Cronin, McBride’s Chief Human Resources Officer, who heads up our inclusion, belonging and fairness strategy, and ensures everyone’s voice is always heard.

Jane recently spoke to Global Woman Leader magazine to share her insights into what makes a diversity and inclusion policy a success across such a wide-reaching company as McBride, digging into how education and training make all the difference, as well as the need to meet people where they’re at. “I’ve learned that a successful D&I strategy has to honour both local cultural realities and a shared organisational vision,” she says. “There’s never a one-size-fits-all approach.”

Jane also shared her own career story – opening up about confronting her imposter syndrome head-on, and advocating for flexible working hours. “As a single parent of two boys, juggling motherhood with trying to climb the career ladder and dealing with imposter syndrome wasn’t easy,” she tells GWL magazine.

“I want to create a safe, honest space where women and underrepresented colleagues can work through whatever they need in that moment.”
