We’re McBride – Europe’s leading manufacturer of private label and contract manufactured products for household and professional cleaning. For nearly 100 years, we’ve been creating cleaning products that help homes stay clean and hygienic at an affordable cost.

From the start of our story in Manchester in 1927, the McBride business has grown into something quite remarkable. Whether it’s the 100 million bottles of bleach we make at our Middleton factory each year or the 2.5 billion dishwasher tablets we produced across Europe in 2024, we’re the business behind many of the cleaning products you use every day.

What really drives us is innovation that matters – and we know that innovation comes from listening to people. We’re not interested in creating second-class versions of other brands’ products. Our 3,600 colleagues across Europe and Asia work closely with retailers to create products that anticipate trends and respond to real customers’ needs, because we know that the best insights come from understanding what people actually want and need in their daily lives.

One thing we’re particularly proud of is our approach to sustainability. 99% of our packaging is recyclable, all of which is collected and recycled in our EU countries and the UK, and we’re constantly trying to find ways to use less plastic and more natural chemicals. (We’ll tell you more about our innovations in this sector over the coming weeks and months.)
