How Are Private Label Products So Cost Effective?

McBride-news-post

We get it. When you see a supermarket’s own-brand laundry powder sitting next to a famous brand for a better-value price, it’s natural to wonder what’s going on.

But when it comes to producing private label (or “own brand”) products, it’s not about cutting corners or using inferior ingredients. It’s about following a completely different business model.

At McBride, we’re manufacturers, so we don’t have to take on the cost of building a brand and all that entails. That means we can focus all our resources on helping our retail partners and clients to develop the best possible products through research and development, not to mention low-cost manufacturing, sustainable values and deep category and industry knowledge.

Working directly with retailers means that we can develop the best product possible for the consumer, while maximising space with the retailer.

The same chemists who could formulate a premium brand product are the ones developing McBride’s private label formulations. The same quality standards apply, and the products are subject to the same rigorous testing.

At McBride, we spend on making sure our products are the best ones out there. It's as simple as that.
