We have systems based both on legal requirements and our own policies. European sites operate under the OSHAS 18001 system.
When we acquire businesses, if their systems are lacking, we bring them up to our standards.
We use key performance indicators, external auditing and accreditation.
We have comprehensive internal safety management procedures. These include policy manuals, checking our regulatory compliance, risk assessment, individual site action plans, safety audits, training, formal incident investigation, and occupational health services.
All accidents and major incidents are reported internally, and are fully investigated to determine appropriate action and preventive measures. All accidents are reported to official authorities following the local legislative reporting requirements. (reporting requirements differ by country.)
We train our people and regularly meet to discuss new legislation, standards and performance. We also encourage people to share ideas and technical development.
